I picked up a universal gps vent mount at best buy for my phone. Works great, very happy with it. Can see my redline escort live app while I drive very easily. kicks the cupholders ***. I'll get a pic for you.

For the Lancer/Evo there's a dash-mount and a console-mount version. But at $30 for the car mount, plus $35 for the regular phone mount (or $80 for hardwired dock), it's kinda pricey.

I just throw my phone on the passenger seat or keep it in my pocket
I'm thinking of getting this ProClip mount and using a cheaper bracket to just screw in to the mount (since that's what you have to do if you buy one of their mounts anyways). This is the type of mount that I like. Allows you to use space otherwise left unusable.

This is where I bought it from:

Sorry for the bad pictures. I will try to take some better ones tomorrow.

It has an adhesive back that holds the phone, Cobra calls it Ever-Last Breakaway Adhesive. It's pretty sticky and doesn't leave a residue.
This looks like a good option also. Does that sticky part of the holder collect much dust?

It's a "Dice" vent mount and is integrated with a pioneer app radio. The mount is great the radio is meh they were in the car when I got it. The placement of the dice mount is great though. It fits the iPhone well even with a slim case on it.

It probably is but I don't notice it. It could cause it to lose its stick overtime but it could probably be cleaned with soap and water. It kind of reminds me of the sticky hands:

if you have a iphone or similar size phone then the door handle pocket (used to close the door) holds the phone perfectly.

^ Spiderpodium looks awesome

I use a vent mount with a pivot ball joint that can tilt in all directions. Only thing is sometimes it can be a pain to clip it onto the vents.
