Exclamation Need Advice asap: Valve cover sealant...

Hello all,

I am currently (literally) in the midst of swapping out my plastic valve cover for the aluminum one.

I have the valve cover off, and a service manual right here. It says to dab some sealant (some of Mitsus sealant brand, whatever it is) on the parts of the timing chain cover to where it meets the block.

But currently, all I have available to me in terms of sealant is the Permatex Ultra Copper Sensor-safe High Temp RTV Silicone Gasket Maker... this stuff:

Is thi sufficient? dangerous to use?

all input is appreciated

thanks

That should be fine, I usually use a little bit of Grey RTV on valve cover gaskets though...
