That really sucks. Do you ever think about selling the 8 to offset the investment?

I was in a similar situation. I almost bought my X while keeping the 8 (to sell privately after the fact). Decided to trade in the 8 to get an X. I know how my mind works. If I would have bought the X I wouldn't have put the 8 up for sale. I would have somehow justified to myself that the 8 was worth keeping also. I don't regret it at all. It was the smarter choice financially and I have more breathing room now.

I consider selling it daily, until I drive it. Im trying to keep both but I may end up selling the 8. If someone throws 14k in my face I would sell it, but I'm not very motivated lol.
Its just so damn fun and I worked really hard to get it where it is now.

I'm slightly struggling but I'm ok. I just don't feel right when I don't have 10k in the bank

I have since felt the inclination to start hunting deer. With handguns.

 

I sort of know how you feel. I would have liked to keep my 8 after all the blood, sweat and money I put into it, but that reason wasn't enough to outweigh the positives of selling it. Also it would have meant spending more money on it and again no guarantees that I would finally be happy with it. Either way you go I don't blame you. It's a tough decision.
