What's the best MPG you've gotten in your X?
Best I've seen in my city commute is right around 19 (calculated, not from display) and typically around 17'ish. I do not drive much on the highway, but its typically right around 25 for the longer highway drives. Not the best, but not what I bought the car for either so I'll live with it.
its about $15 a gallon and i only drive 30-50 miles a week so thats why i only put race gas in 5 gallons every 2 weeks and a couple of weeks ago i put 10 gallons and thats when i saw my gauge go to 270 per tank on 10 gallons
The dashboard mpg feature is useless. Get the mpg the correct way.... To get the actual miles per gallon, you need to do the math after you get a full tank of gas.
Get a full tank of gas and then reset the trip-odometer. When you gas up the next time, take the miles driven and divide that by the gallons in your fill up. This equals the actual mpg you got since the last fill up.
Last year I drove 1,200 miles in two days when I moved from CA to NM. I tracked my mpg after every fill up. My best fuel economy was 26 mpg on that trip with all freeway driving. I was surprised that I got 26mpg, but typical on that trip was 24-25mpg.
Where the evo really shines is with mountain passes. These cars handle mountain passes with ease while other cars on the road have to keep flooring the gas to maintain speed. On my trip I drove through Arizona and made the climb to Flagstaff, AZ. It was about 6,000 feet elevation gain and I was able to get 22 mpg during the 200+ mile drive up the mountain.
My typical daily driving around town mpg is about 18 mpg.
The worst I ever got was 12.5mpg. This was after driving it like I stole it for a half a tank of gas.

23.8 mpg in the city driving like an idiot. I don't take the highway anywhere, but the last time I was on it the traffic was so bad that I averaged 12mpg.
I'm also completely stock and blow gas all over my garage floor when I start the car.

I was probably considered hypermiling at some points as I would be off the gas going down hills and I would get off the gas early when there was a stop or turn coming up.
BTW: That's decent mileage to drive up a mountain
I drive 5 mph over the limit everywhere I go. When I reach the top of a hill I completely take my foot off the gas and let it coast. I refuse to use my brakes while going down hill and will pass people that do. I haven't been pulled over by cops because they say they understand I'm just coasting and can tell because there's no change in exhaust note to signify I'm pushing the gas pedal. Plus, the vehicle stays at about 5 mph over the limit while coasting down, and will even slow down to exactly the speed limit depending on the grade of the slope and the length. When coming up to stops, I'll take my foot off the gas and let it coast to the stop sign with minimal use of the brake.

Or use an app like the one I posted previously. If I went by what my dash infometer said then I would be telling you all I get 20-22.5 because that's what it shows when I commute, however doing the math on the app shows me 19.2avg
