What's the best MPG you've gotten in your X?
On the highway cruising at 70 I can get 25-26 mpg if I try hard enough. Most times around 20-22 mpg cruising between 65 to 80. I am Cobb AP Stage 2, off the shelf tune for the time being.
that average was 19.5 with a day of autox on the tank.
I drive 5 mph over the limit everywhere I go. When I reach the top of a hill I completely take my foot off the gas and let it coast. I refuse to use my brakes while going down hill and will pass people that do. I haven't been pulled over by cops because they say they understand I'm just coasting and can tell because there's no change in exhaust note to signify I'm pushing the gas pedal. Plus, the vehicle stays at about 5 mph over the limit while coasting down, and will even slow down to exactly the speed limit depending on the grade of the slope and the length. When coming up to stops, I'll take my foot off the gas and let it coast to the stop sign with minimal use of the brake.
As we all know, a constant speed is better on fuel consumption than constantly changing speeds. That's why highway MPG is usually always better. People who constantly speed up and slow down waste more fuel and wear away their brakes faster because they tend to ride them.
That's normal. When the fuel light comes on with most modern vehicles it's indicating that only the reserve is left. Reserves tend to be ~2 gallons.

My sister did the same thing 2 blocks away from the traffic school she was attending. The local sheriff didn't take the "coasting" factor into consideration. She ended up with a $200 ticket. Still against the law if you're over the speed limit. We can't win
