On the highway cruising at 70 I can get 25-26 mpg if I try hard enough. Most times around 20-22 mpg cruising between 65 to 80. I am Cobb AP Stage 2, off the shelf tune for the time being.

I got an average of 32mpg once when all my tire pressures were at 40 psi while on my way to autocross on a warm day averaging around 55mph.

I just went to the mitsu site and saw it said 14.5 gallons. The digital gauge went blank and it still had 2.5 gallons left thats kinda weird.

I started doing this more once gas prices hit $4/gal and have seen my mpg jump from 18-22mpg. I drive all back roads to and from work but on highways I have managed to get 24mpg.

As we all know, a constant speed is better on fuel consumption than constantly changing speeds. That's why highway MPG is usually always better. People who constantly speed up and slow down waste more fuel and wear away their brakes faster because they tend to ride them.

That's normal. When the fuel light comes on with most modern vehicles it's indicating that only the reserve is left. Reserves tend to be ~2 gallons.

My sister did the same thing 2 blocks away from the traffic school she was attending. The local sheriff didn't take the "coasting" factor into consideration. She ended up with a $200 ticket. Still against the law if you're over the speed limit. We can't win

I'm averaging about 18-20 on a good day. I swear my car has a hole in the tank... I just can't seem to find it. LOL

Has anyone experimented with a "MPG Tune" ? I know the Cobb AP has an OTS MPG map.
