08 MR programming keyless entry remote

Ok guys, one of my remotes died on my 08 MR. I replaced the battery today while I was using my second remote for about a month. I read and re read my owner's manual over and over and did the instructions they informed in there. I cant get anything out of it except the red light showing it has power. Does any one know of a simple way this can be done? Or explain in more of a simple way of what they ask in the manual? Maybe I'm just being a noon today. I'd appreciate it.

Mine got "erased" by my cell phone - there is a TSB for the 2008 FAST key, if thats what you're talking about. Car would not start, got "key missing", even using mechanical key. Remotes replaced by dealer with upgraded part.

Not sure if that helps, but thats all i got.

Thanks for the reply !! Car starts with the fast key, everything works as it should but the remote I replaced the dead battery on. The remotes red light lights up to say it has a good battery but nothing. There's a way to program an additional remote in the cars manual, but I'm having 0 luck... I live a good 1.5 hours from my dealership and if so would like an easier option than dealing with that stealership lol

this happened in my 08 GTS. The key would open the doors and start the car, but none of the buttons worked. Dealer said that the key went bad, probably due to close proximity with a cell phone. Replaced under warranty. New keys are around 300 i hear if you are not still under warranty.
