Factory touch screen or aftermarket?

Hey guys so I'm looking to get the 2012 evo x gsr and they have the option of getting the nav and touchscreen. Do you think its good to get that or should I just go to future shop or best buy and just get a aftermarket one. Any advice would be great

The SS package on the evo is probably the better idea

I added the factory nav to my car after buying it and love it; couldn't be happier with it and wish I would have just purchased it right away with the car. I also looked at some aftermarket ones, but none of them look as nice in the dash. Music server HDD, satellite radio, traffic updates, Bluetooth audio streaming...the 2011+ factory nav systems really have it all.

Yea go with the sight and sound package. You can always purchase the nav used for less than half the price

The nav setup barely weighs any extra over the RF 6-disc stereo.

Just take a **** before you get in. Should be roughly equivalent weight reduction.

I really like my stock Nav... I've been in a friends X with aftermarket in-dash and it does not feel right, or look right.

I have a 2010, not crazy about the nav, and pissed I cant upgrade to bluetooth streaming. I would buy a newer one to replace it if i knew where to get one without going to the stealership.

With the music server HDD I decided I really don't need BT audio streaming; burn any downloaded songs to a CD and rip it into the HDD.

I went with aftermarket figuring I could get more bang for my buck. While that has proved to be true in terms of sound quality and options, I've got some nagging alternator whine that I haven't quite been able to figure out yet.

There is something to be said for just taking it off the lot with everything factory installed.
