I had a Works shifter in my IX with all the bushings. They are as amazing as Kracka says. Going to get one for my X soon.

Depends if you have a 8/9 or X I liked the Fidanza/eBay shifter for the 8/9, but for the X by far the best one I've found is the WORKS.

I decided to save some scratch and went with the TS short shifter but purchased the WORKS base bushing and under-hood bushings. Unfortunately there was a shipping snafu with the under-hood bushings so currently I have just the short throw and base bushing installed. While shifting is definitely smoother it wasn't as good as I was expecting. Hopefully it cleans up with the addition of the under-hood bushings otherwise I may have to switch to the WORKS SS as well.

I just installed the works short shifter, what a difference. This is now my favorite mod on the car, love it.

How important are those bushings? I am looking at the works site and for a complete set is 250.
This http://store.worksmotorsports.com/WO..._p/420.111.htm
Or this

The second link includes the knob that I dont need.

I also have the WORKS SS and urethane bushings and it's great. Thinking about trying the TWM cage.

What is better aluminum bushings or polyurethane? I wish I could just make up my mind. I am set on the works shifter. Maperformance sells it for 165. I am just not sure about bushings.
