Clutch problem

Hey guys I was driving today at about 15 mph and went to shift from 1st to 2nd and all the sudden my clutch pedal just dropped all the way to the floor. I would move the pedal either all the way down or all the way in the up position. The car starts when the clutch is pushed in but I can't change gears and it won't start when it's up. If anyone knows anything about this any info would be great! Thanks in advance

It's not the clutch, it's either the clutch master cylinder or the clutch slave cylinder. Change it to the Magnus cmc kit or something similar. Coz u say it doesn't have any pedal pressure right?

It could be another thing like ur throw out bearing popping off. But my honest opinion is either of the clutch cylinders, master or slave.

This guy is right, but I think the others could be too.

When you say that the pedal dropped all the way to the floor, that is usually what happens when the CMC goes out. It's a cheap plastic one that Mitsubishi used on the Xs. They clutch MAY need to be replaced too, but it could just be the CMC. pm MAP for a good deal on the AMS CMC unit.

When the clutch disk itself is gone, u slip...u would still have pedal pressure though it will be soft. If the CMC or CSC is bad, u get no pedal pressure at all. I know this coz I have a 350Z that had a problem with the slave cylinder. Good thing there was a recall for it from Nissan USA. What ur talking about is the same symptoms I was having when my slave cylinder went out on me.

I also know that it's not the clutch itself coz I just changed my slipping clutch.

Just happened to my boy recently. Sounds like your clutch master cylinder, get the magnus as said above.

Yeah i should of mentioned the cmc as well. I'm a big fan of ams, and they make a great cmc.

Also I see unsaid u just put one in 3k ago, but remember, it doesn't matter how new it is. If u beat on, or launch it frequently, it will die. Drive it smart or be prepared to constantly spend$$$$ to replace it

You just put in a stage 2 clutch, but the clutch has too much pressure for the stock CMC. That's why the clutch is so new, but you had this issue.

Edit: in this case it doesn't matter how hard you drive the car, or even if you baby it, the CMC still can't take the increased pressure.
