Was that picture after rolling down a mountain in neutral? This picture doesn't say too much by itself, heh.

I have never seen 30 mpg on mine damn I too am beginning to question the accuracy of the gauge. This morning to work had 26.8 avg. mpg. I'm in NC so things do flatten out with hills every mile or two but I feel like the boost is a little solid when getting on it. I'm not worried about it my AEM wideband shows good numbers WOT so. now city driven I get that notorious EVO mileage for sure

Makes me wanna get out and push the car in the city

No one gonna recommend putting the old flex pipe back on see what happens with the MPG?

Which one used less energy and/or was more efficient?
Not really an accurate analogy. That would work with an air filter, but not an intercooler pipe.

People, it's a PIPE! It's just a pipe. Hard or soft, air will flow the same. Changing the UICP will do nothing for mileage. It's not like the stock one is a 1" crazy straw or something. The diameters are close to the same. Is spool time affected, measurably, yes. Can you feel the difference? Probably not. Placebo effect like a ****. They sure do look pretty though.

The gauge in the cluster is more of a "ballpark".

Step 1: Fill your tank and reset your "trip" to 0.0
Step 2: Drive normally throughout the entire tank of gas.
Step 3: Fill tank again trying your best to use the same station/pump you used before.
Step 4: Do the math...miles driven / gallons it takes to fill car the second time = MPG

Thats the only way to get true MPG

The only difference I noticed with the UICP was my car would get into boost a little quicker. I found my self boosting and didn't realize until I looked at my gauge and saw 3 psi. I was expecting to be around -5 in vac with the little load that I was used to giving her. The UICP gain was nothing for me to write home about though, but I def noticed a difference.

With the mpg. Depend on the car to I guess my stock 4dr civic Si was avg.37-38 mpg hwy when it was only rated at 29 mpg hwy from the factory.

Lol, no just daily driving, id say 60% highway at 65/70 MPH

When I filled up by my calculations i was realistically getting 28 mpg, but still good

Well....

not to sound like a smartass but 30.3 MPG at 15 MPH doesn't sound all that impressive to me.

I know that it might said 30mpg and end up with about 28mpg like doc m it's still better than it saying I'm avg.22mpg and only end up 19 mpg.
