revs hanging, halp!
revs hanging, halp!
This weekend I replaced my slave cylinder and clutch pedal assembly.
Now my revs are hanging when I push the clutch in. In spirited driving, I have to wait a whole 5 seconds to release the clutch or else the car feels like it is getting hit in the rear end by a garbage truck. Sure there is supposed to be a small bump, but this isn't normal at all.
I have replaced my clutch, pressureplate, ss line, master cylinder, slave cylinder, and pedal assembly in order to determine why my clutch feels 5x "softer" than a stock EvoX. I figured a clutch job would fix it when changing it up to an HD clutch. Nope. I have traveled far and wide and after all these parts being swapped out, I've come to the conclusion that the issue must be related to the clutch fork springs. I'll fix that on the next clutch job.
Please help me get driving again so I can shift past 4k rpm & boost without any hiccups! I've checked the vacuum lines, the intake area, and throttle body which are right by the slave. Everything appears to be connected. Idling is normal. I replaced the pedal assembly with an OEM one because it had a spring on the side which I thought perhaps was worn out. Halp!

On the new clutch there is about 2k miles.
The pedal feeling will not change bleeding it. We've done it a million times in a matter of a couple weeks. Every time we put a new part in to figure out the culprit of the soft pedal it's been bled. No bucking issues, but the softness of the pedal remained. There is nothing else left to replace other than the fork springs since I already have an HD pressureplate.
But... you think the recent violent bucking perhaps may be cause by air in the lines from this last bleed?
What would that have to do with revs hanging?
Thanks for your responses!
