600whp is pretty easy to get to on the stock block with a T3 turbo kit and keeping the torque low. If your looking to do minor bolt on's and make between 350-370. The car should run forever at >400whp power levels. The 4B11 in my opinion is a great motor and with minor bolt on's can make for a fast and reliable street car.

If you have any questions, let us know. We have a full range of products that are direct bolt on and provide substantial gains.

Thanks!

Michael

That's cool, logs show the live run. I just want to see the map so I can see what he was targeting.

Army doing field exercise? I saw Humvees and transport trucks yesterday on the freeway here in Vegas. Maaaan, I want one of those Humvees!

Do u really need 400awhp? If you just get a turbo back and an intake along with an access port, it's more than enough for street!

^ I dont REALLY need 400awhp but it would be nice to have. I want a really powerful daily driver that i can beat on at the track during weekends and still be able to drive it to school and work monday morning.

Ive been thinking about my purchase and i might be considering buying the evo in the US and importing it. However that means i would have to save up even longer so i can buy it out right cause i doubt you can finance in the states from canada. I doubt ill find a WW with SSS etc etc in canada. IM very specific about my cars so ya lol. Problem is the gauges will be in MPH

My thoughts exactly. I'm looking into getting an AMS Stage 2 Tune. (100HP increase on a stock block, that’s safe... well at least that’s what they say.)

Fair enough, stock wise, theses cars make around 220-250hp at the wheels. Later models make a bit more. With the stage 2 tunes, you'd be making closer to 300, protune, I made 332awhp/317torque. That's already almost 400 at the crank and you don't get any reliability issues because its still stock internals. To make 400awhp, you'd essentially be replacing the turbo as well as upgrading the engine internals if you don't want it to blow. Yes you could just get a turbo and keep all the internals stock, but that's like playing with fire. Buying in the states is way cheaper, but yeah you need cash and you don't get heated seats lol! Ontario is cold!!! Jokes aside, definately look into it!

When the Power Mod Bug bites, it bites hard.

I'm trying to decide whether I go straight to E85 on stock turbo or go to a turbo swap :-\

BTW: I have heated seats in my GSR with Sun and Leather package

Boosted Sin,

I'm going to go on the other side of the modding. The X you get will be your X so to each their own. I know you said you just want a basic tune and mods and nothing too crazy, but (in my opinion) you have to consider the warranty. As soon as you start modding, know that your warranty is GONE. Personally I don't see why people mod brand new cars unless 1.) They are getting the car primarily to race it and/or 2.) They have the $$$ to maintain/repair the car if/when things break. Coming from a guy who just bought an X, I can't begin to tell you how many people have these cars for sell online with 18K miles and TONS on mods on them. Then when they sell them, they try asking top dollar for a car with no warranty and has probably been driven hard as hell. I can tell you from a person with a bone stock (except drop-in filter) GSR, the car is already very quick stock. I'll have the car paid off if about 4 years and once I get a 2nd car (family car/daily driver) then that's when I'll start going mod crazy with my X and taking it to the local tracks and having tons of fun with it. Again, its all personal preference but I just don't see the point in taking a completely fun stock car right from the showroom to a tuner to have it modded and risk the high costs of repairs if something goes wrong. Like I said earlier, its will be your X and your decision but it's just something to consider.

I have my eyes set on an evo x as my next car. Im truly obssessed and intrigued with this car and its ability to make crazy amounts of power. I am on a student budget so il have to live with the rx8 till next year so i can save up for the X.

My buddy just sold his evo x and has been telling me not to get one and that the engine gets blown pretty easy. I live in toronto and from what ive been reading there arent many good evo x tuners around my area except for maybe magnus (read mixed reviews).

I only plan on getting some bolt ons and a mild tune. I dont want anything crazy. My goal is probably a 400whp daily driver. My question is .. i know this is achievable but is it reliable ??

I want my next car to not give me headaches like my rx8 is right now. Everytime i drive this car... i drive in fear of it not startinng and breaking down (it has a few days ago when the battery died)

Any input will be greatly appreciated..

Thanks Ken

It sounds like this would be a great car to race at the track!! Have you been able to make it out there yet?

NOOOO!!!!! The car is a pig! Very slow and sluggish in stock form. If the stealership would have let me test drive my x i prolly wouldnt have bought it. Now though she is a beast. You gotta pay to play.
