Tune w/ AEM?

Hi guys ran into a friend last night and we were talking bout our cars and I brought up than my next move is probably going to be an AEM intake and although I'm planning a tune he told me my X won't run without a tune if i install the intake. Is this true did a search but didn't find what I was looking for thanks

You can safely run the AEM intake with no tune (and the CBE in your signature at the same time). You will yield better gains with a tune though. It's a nice quality intake with many people saying good things about it.

no prob. Before your tune you could do Upper and Lower IC pipes and a FMIC without the tune too. Just like the intake, they won't make a lot of power until the tune though.
