Agp intercooler fitment issues

I bought a used agp intercooler a few months ago and it just doesn't seem to line up properly.

If I bolt up the IC to its mounting points the inlet seems to high for the licp.

The hangers also seem to be too low.

I get licp hooked up and the FMIC is crooked and uicp seems to be a few inches too long.

The uicp is an agency power piece that came on the car when I bought it and the fitment of that seemed a little off and I never messed with it until now.

It seems as though my options are to cut the pipe or reinstall the stock FMIC.

Anyone else run into a problem like this?

I'm really frustrated and kind of regretting the purchase of the IC.

Yeah pretty much go thru and loosen everything and get it all as close as possible.

Dude, no offence but this is NOT a problem at all! If you are concerned with cutting a pipe, you should be taking this to a shop. My advice cut the mothertrucker and have a nice day!

Thanks that what I was just thinking of doing.

It was the hardest easy install I've ever fought with.

I'm not really concerned with cutting the pipe.

It felt like something was wrong with the way it lined up.

If I hadn't of started so late I wouldn't have ran out of light and wouldn't of had such a frustrating finish.

I was unsure if cutting the pipe was the correct path to follow.

Loosen everything up, UICP, LICP even the front bumper. That's what i would've done first. I know it's work, but if the UICP worked with stock FMIC, then it should work with the aftermarket.

I didn't have any fitment issues with the AGP hardpipes w/ the AGP intercooler. Before I had AGP pipes I had another brand which also fit okay. Like folks have said, try loosening up all the connections then try aligning it as close as possible. I know with the AGP lower pipe it was a very tight fit against the bumper. I had to take off the faux grill cover for clearance or else the bumper wouldn't go back on. Didn't mind too much as the open grill looked much better without the cover.

I have a feeling you don't know what you're doing. The IC piping is all made to be used with either a stock IC or aftermarket. The only time you'll have an issue is when using IC piping with an after market exhaust manifold..

I thought the UICP on almost all the brands bolted in the OE location on the radiator support. So how can the upper pipe not meet up if the pipe is bolted down?
