FQ 400 Hood
Sorry, you lost me here. While I do understand sarcasm, for the joke to work it should be a play on something I said. Maybe in a situation where I inferred accidentally that the hood should remain open. But I don't see that in my post. I am a self proclaimed expert in sarcasm and I have no problem giving advice to help others use it in the proper way.

The relevance and implication from my response is pointed at your comments and questions at the end of your post. Specifically, "Seems like beyond that it would also let more cold air in, hot air out" and "Something else I am missing?".
So the point, to be clearer so the last kid picked for kickball (if at all) understand the relevance, is that most people in this forum purchase items for improving performance and aesthetics and in typically in that order. So the "bang for the buck" by a perceived cooling enhancement (you mentioned) appears low; however the enhanced appearance factor is high (so a few people may buy it). So unless you want it to improve the appearance to meet your requirements, the performance improvements (cooling) may be there but my best guess would negligible.
If your only concern was the risk that an FQ400 may cause damage during heavy rain, you should focus or limit your questions to that point.
