Is this a fact now? I have been hearing this for awhile but from everybody but Mitsubishi. Just curious.

Just like a 2009 S2000 last year before they discontinued it. I believe they will be a sought after car.

if you dont have nothing emotionally atached to the car just put it back to stock and get the 2013. its the last year of production for the evolution in general and it has the latest in tecnology for that model like everyone knows, so in my opinion you should do it

^ Lol. Read much? Several posts on page 2 explain things pretty well. There may be a way to work this to your advantage, but rest assured that the dealerships aren't initiating this out of the goodness of their hearts.

Chill out there bro, no need for the attitude. I did not get the chance to get that far into the responses at the time.

In that case I would definitley go for it. Depends on how attached you are to the car and if you want to go through the whole registration process again.

I meant that in as joking a way as possible. No offense intended.

Also, not to mention forking out the additional taxes for a new vehicle.

Yeah, and if the OP is in San Diego like he says, California tax, title, and registration fees are absolutely ridiculous.

You only pay taxes on the balance of the total buying price of the new car minus the trade-in. For example, new car costs $35k, dealer gives you $28k for the trade-in, you pay taxes on $7k.
