Yellow Triangle Warning Light?
Yellow Triangle Warning Light?
Last weekend I swapped over to my second set of wheels. The TPMS Service Required warning message came on during the second day of driving the car; along with the yellow tire pressure warning light. I cleared the warning message by holding the Info button for 3 seconds. However, I now have a yellow triangle with an exclamation point; along with the yellow tire pressure warning light. The owner’s manual indicated that the yellow triangle with the exclamation point is related to the timing chain.
Is this yellow triangle related to an issue with the timing chain or perhaps was it just triggered by the second set of wheels?

I'm guessing your second set of wheels don't have TPMS sensors in them, the sensors aren't synced correctly, or your tires are a little low. That's all the warning is. The yellow triangle with exclamation point just means that there's an alert in the background. You'll get the same thing when low (but not extremely low) on gas.

Yup, all of it.
Actually, the second set of wheels do have TPMS sensors but I haven't had them sync'd to the car. How much do dealers typically charge to sync the four sensors? I believe that the car can only have one set sync'd at a time correct? Other cars have the ability to program and retain two sets of TPMS. Thanks.

You could also search here and find that someone can clone your existing tpms sensors onto a new pair so you don't have to worry about reprogramming every time you switch wheels.

So why are you surprised that the light is on if you know the 2nd set of tpms were not synced? Did someone from discount tire tell u it will relearn on its own?
If they are oem sensors, then yes only 1 at a time can be programmed. This means once u put your summer tires on u will need to revisit and pay the dealership to reprogram. If you got the cloneable ones then pull the codes off of your oem sensors and feed them into the clone sensors.
