once you install the original sensors/wheels back on, it resets auto. Only need mitsu to program new sensors.

No. If you remove your TPMS sensors, your car constantly warns you that your air pressure is too low. It's a warning light that looks like a flat tire with an ! in it.

If you ever get Winter tires, you'll see.

R3P5AJ - I just got that experience last week as well. I'm loving it. No more bonging and flashing INFO screen!

Why do I need to get Mitsu to reprogram the sensors, if I never took them out of my original wheels? I thought once I mount my stock wheels back on this summer, everything will be back to normal as it was in the fall.

As nunyas said, you're fine.

CamShaft was talking about if you bought extra sensors (like if you had a Summer set and a Winter set).

speaking of sensors, I think I may be having issues with mine.... but I need to pick up a tire press gauge this weekend to be sure.

My TPMS warning started telling me to check my tires after a rain last week, but the warning went away the next morning after making a right, only to come back on the next morning. So, filled all my tires to 38PSI at a gas station the other day (using their crappy *** pump press gauge) and the warning didn't go out. So, when I had my oil changed I had the shop refill the tires to 38psi. The warning was still on when I got into the car but it went out as soon as I completed a right hand u-turn to get out of the parking lot. Then it came right back on the next morning.

It annoys me that I don't see my normal dash read out while the warning is on, but I'm not about to take the car in for warranty work until I KNOW I'm experiencing a malfunction. I'll probably pick up a gauge before the weekend rolls in so I can see my tire press with a tool I trust.

maybe a nail in the tire?? Get a pressure gauge, you should check your tire pressure every month, also make sure you check it when the tires are cold, driving a mile can heat up the tires and the air inside them creating a higher pressure than it is at cold. If it's none of the above, go and use that warranty

also to install TPM's first you have to have the right equipment to remove/install tires, then get the right torque for the valve stem nut and the vavle core. The valve core torque is very light 7 IN/lbs and the valve stem nut is around 45-58 IN/lbs
