battery vacuum hose
battery vacuum hose
Hey guys
Ive asked this on the how to section earlier and have gotten only one response.. Do anybody knows where the vacuum hose/tube that is connected to the battery from? I tried replacing the battery and once positive and negative cables were out I pulled out the battery and didnt see the vac hose that is attached to it. Dont knw where that thing is coming from. Does any body have a pic or atleast can point me to were to put that damn tube.
Thanks
Ps
I think that tube is for venting out the battery gas

Yes its for venting out the gas. Look around near the battery area, it should lead down out a hole or to another plug in that leads out of the hole. I've never installed a battery in our cars but for BMW and MERCEDES which have the same setup, this is the case. Its just for venting vapors from the battery out of the cabin/trunk, as they are toxic. You could just save yourself the hassle and buy a sealed AGM battery that doesn't vent
