ETS intake question

Hey everyone. I purchased an ETS intake a little while ago and I just got around to it. During the install I noticed that the vacuum hose for the BOV was different. The stock hose(left) had a larger hole then the hose(right) that came with the intake (which is very hard to actually get on the bov). Is this correct? Just wondering because with the smaller hole is the correct amount of vacuum happening? Thanks. I shrunk the pic as much as I could so I apologize for it still being to big.

Noticed nobody responded to this, so I will pitch in my two cents. I replaced the hose with the one that came with my ETS intake as well. I've also swapped out the same hose on several occasions with replacements when I was testing out numerous blow off valves. Why swap out? Because I had to use a razor to "undo" it from the blow off valve. No biggie. I do agree that it is a little tight getting it on, but just grease or even a little spit (on the bov nozzle) will help get it on. I actually prefer it a little tighter because it is less prone to ever coming off. I'm positive you won't run into any issues with boost. With that being said.... enjoy it. It's a great piece!

I have no complaints with the product. Great company and great product. I was just wondering like you said if it will lead to any problems with any boost because the hole is smaller or if I received the wrong hose. Thanks for you input.

the hose diameter, although harder to put on the nipple of the OE DV, won't affect the operation of it.

Hey Guys. I wanted to chime in a little on why we use a smaller line. Blow off valves like the HKS, Greddy and others have a smaller nipple diameter and if we provide a larger diameter tube (Factory size) the line will not work on all applications. If we provide the smaller line as pictured above it works on everything but requires you to stretch it over the larger blow off valve nipples which isn't a problem, it also helps ensure that it will not pop off since it's extra tight.

Thanks!

Michael
