Evo X Clutch
Well I'll start off by saying don't waist you time and money on a Clutch Masters clutch! I'm only pushing 385 hp at the flywheel and it only lasted 22,000 miles. Keep in mind my wife drives it 90% of the time and she babies the damn thing. I drive it like I stole it LOL.
Anyway I took my chances on an Exedy Twin Disc, it came in the mail today. I am looking for some info on where to take it in Bakersfield or close to Bakersfield to get it put in?
Another question I am prety mechanicaly inclined is hard to do it yourself and what kind of problems would I run in to?

Hope the Exedy works out for you. I heard good things.
But I've also heard bad things about the master cylinder from factory. If you haven't replaced it with a stronger one yet, I would suggest doing so, otherwise the clutch master will eventually fail.
Aftermarket pressure plates are too strong for the OEM master cylinder.

Good advice I didnt know that I will get one ASAP, is there a certain one I should look for/watch out for?
I don't have one. But at the point when I do change it out, I'll be getting the AMS CMC upgrade. They utilize the EVO VIII\IX OEM one that has worked for years and years.
AMS is a good one.. And yes, you will def need a new CMC.
385 isn't much to burn up a good clutch.. But it all depends on your driving style- mainly how you ride the clutch.. Some people just slip it too much when trying to start going in 1st.
Anyway, hope the Exedy works out better..

Good luck with the Exedy!
Just because she babies it doesn't mean she knows how to properly drive stick.
I have more power than that on my stock clutch, and it holds like brand new at 38k miles.
I expect to get 60k+ out of it.

As for the installation. Do you have a lift? That would help significantly.
If not, I've heard it can still be done but an Evo X clutch is not for the faint of heart. It's a pretty big job and requires some leverage and muscle to get the pieces aligned. About double the time it takes to swap an STi clutch. There are some good how-tos out there but I suggest, especially if it is primarily your wife's car...that you just have a good shop do it.
