Requesting advice..
I understand this a highly talked about topic so I apologize for another entry, jus trying to get advice. I have an evo 8 with 150000 and considering a trade. I looked at an 2011 x today with 10k and was told payments under 400. Car is priced at 29000. Is this a deal I should jump on or pass?
My question is how were they able to get you payments of below $400? If you finance 29k assuming taxes and fees are included, your payments would be 414 a month for 72 months at .9% interest. And is 29k including your evolution as a trade in???
Leaving alot of variables out bro.. Here is what is needed to determine if its a good deal.
What APR and how many years are you going to finance the X for.
What are they offering you for your evo as a trade in.
You say that the X is 29k with 10k miles? is it a GSR? MR? what addons? Nav? aero?

Word my b. 29 is price before trade in, didn't give me a number for my trade in but seemed like they wanted the car more than I wanted the x. I requested 60 months and under 4%. It a gsr, no nav, Rockford, no sunroof, no leather.
Also no mods on the car. Trunk is badged so I kno it's wasn't an old guy owner. Also I can afford a new x but I ain't lookin to spend that much if ya kno what I mean

If I was buying an X, I would atleast want the SS package- RF, HID's, and fastkey.. But if you aren't interested in those and would rather have the base model, I say jump on it.. See what they offer you and decide if you want to go through with it. The X is a great car..
29k isn't the best price IMO, but if they come down a little and you get a decent trade in I don't see whats wrong with it..

So whats wrong with the evo viii you have today-- that is making you look at 30k of debt? Second-- why would you trade the Viii knowing you can get more for it selling it out right? The way to get the least for the car you have is thru the dealer, the way to spend more for a used car is thru the dealer... Just asking or informing..
As far as my VIII goes it was high milage and i really didn't want to keep putting money into it. It had a quite a bit of rust and scars from failed scandinavian flicks. Felt like it was time to move on.
As far as the X goes it does have the SS package, which is nice to see. Got it on a lift yesterday completely stock everything, nothings been tampered with, no missing hardware. After a couple low blow offers (5k) from dealerships i feel like they gave me a really good offer on the VIII, monthly payments stayed the same, i ended up leaving in the X...

Well congrats on the purchase. I went through a similar change. (05 VIII to the X). I put 10k in to the VIII in 10 months and got kind of fed up..
fixed all the issues from the previous owner, but I was just kind of sick of it by then. How would you compare the two..
