In an older thread an ets rep said the optional resonator doesn't have much effect if at all. It's an extra 100 bucks. I'm personally going to buy the extreme pretty soon, have a ets test pipe on the way now, and probably going to run their o2 dump dp...

Edit:he responded at the same time I did lol

The only thing I'm worried about is trying to keep it from being to raspy, if that makes any sense here. Like, I want to keep it kind of low pitch.

Look at the Invidia Q300... It is perfect when you get on it and does not drone at all! Plus the tips dont look ricey at all!

To be honest, if you are going to DD the car I'd stay with the regular V2. Trust me, the regular is plenty loud and mean sounding. It has a nice aggressive tone to it, and you would not be dissapointed with it. I just installed mine recently, and I wish I had gone with the quiet version as I find it to be a bit too loud as a DD.

try the ultimate racing exhaust (dual exit). I have had it for four years now and have not received a ticket yet for the noise.

dude get the ets quiet version. That exhaust combined with a testpipe gets pretty loud. My friend has the ets extreme and its just plain abnoxious. You can hear it from a mile away.

I saw that vid last night, he's had a LOT of work done to that thing, but it sounds awesome. I think I'm gonna go with the Extreme. After all I'm going to be running stock cat and DP for quite a while.

Where in Moco are you located?

Back when I still had my IX, the IX had a megan turbo back exhaust with test pipe. I have been pulled over once in Rockville for my exhaust, and received a $200 fine. However, Rockville is known for local car meet ups, so cops frequent that area and target loud exhausts.

Other than that, Ive never had a problem with my loud exhaust or my testpipe. Oh, except my neighbors hated it, but I didnt blame them cause I would come home past midnight... Also, if you have a GF, your GF and her parents will probably hate it too haha.

On my current EVOX, Im still running the stock exhaust and it honestly doesnt sound THAT bad. Only reason I would upgrade it is to release some more power.

I live over in the Aspen hill area. I still haven't decided, I may wind up just going with the Normal and eventually picking up an Extreme axle back eventually.

I had the extreme. I am someone that enjoys a loud exhaust if it sounds nice. If you want a really loud exhaust (which I got used to in less than a week I barely heard it unless I stepped on it) but everyone I met said it was extremely loud. The only reason why I sold it was because I did not like the tone of it. The loudness was fine just really raspy
