Catback + no tune = ?

Wondering what to expect...
2011 MR no mods, no tune,
just adding HKS hi power catback exhaust.
How much hp/tq have people found from just exhaust?

waiting for warranty to go out before I get any real mods + tune.

It will not be a problem. You can run it with no tune.

You will get a small bump in power, but nothing crazy. Maybe 10 HP or something. You will prolly feel a small difference, but it will sound alot better.

Before my tune my 2011 gsr with hsk panel, hard upper pipe, and invidia n1 catback single exit exh made 287whp 301trq on a dynojet.
After 3port/tune 337whp 346trq.

But not all cars are the same or dynos read the same.

But the better a turbo car can breath the more power it can make.

Going alone with what hackerrei said above.

You will make some more power for sure with just the parts, but the Tune will get you a lot more!

It is not required and really will not do much harm, but a tune will always help and in more ways than one. Evo's a pretty rich form the factory so you can get a bit better fuel economy, better power curve, and more power with a tune.

Thanks,
Dallin

Looking at getting a cbe soon. Was planning on invidia q300 but the tips are kinda small. Anyone know of a brand with burnt tips that are a bit bigger? I don't want it too big tho. Oh and it has to be dual tips.

The Tips on the Invidia Q300 are 101mm or about 4" in size just for your info.

I don't really think that is the smallest out there, but they are also not the biggest

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks,
Dallin
