Anyone know about this Evo?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2008-...-/290912075078

I had a 2005 Evo 8 and sold it about 5 years ago. I'm looking for a used Evo 9 or X. Does anyone know about this Evo on ebay by texashotrides in Addison, Texas. Does anyone have experience with texashot rides? Was wondering if anyone knew the previous owner.

The mod list looks some what descent. I know the HKS BOV gave the Evo 8 problems, I would assume its the same with the Evo X's, but it may have been corrected with the FconV. I would rather go back to a DV.

Any help with tracking down info on the car and seller would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Thanks,
I bought my X with the HKS valve on it. No problems as of yet. But, it is LOUD. Almost ricer/SRT-4 loud. Flutters almost every shift.

My only comment would be that it seems a little pricy for a 2008 GSR with very basic bolt ons. The add states $15k in modifications which could be true due to the amount of HKS stuff on there, most of it is kind of a waste of money though.

IMO - you will be able to find a better priced, similar mileage GSR if you wait it out.

The suspension set up is legit and worth it.
SSP Master Cylinder is a POS and many have failed
Injen intake, ETS FMIC and hot pipe - all legit and worth it
Exhaust is exhaust - this is the first car I've seen running the MXP product but whatev's

For instance - check the "other" forum and there is a 2008 Red GSR for sale in Main, with some proper modifications that are actually worth the money, in great shape, for $24,000. Hell, there's a 2010 on there for $25k.

This car is not worth it - dealership is trying to sell the car on the "prestige" of the car and the useless mods that were applied.

Don't knock it till you own one...

Motor is coming into its own finally, making some pretty serious power, pretty reliable, and it doesn't feel like I'm driving a Geely (Chinese wannabe Mitsubishi you find in Cuba...)
