Yep, I saw your post with your car, you got both. I traded in an Evo for a 13 with those packages. The leather and piano black trim really makes the Evo look nice on the inside. Also coming from a base model, I can say you really hear a difference with the extra sound dampening. I highly recommend those packages.

I wouldn't do it dealers won't give you that much for the car cause there not going to lose money in any deal they do and for not being able to get the other guy a loan I can see that cause payments on a 25000 car are lower than 32000 and he can only afford the lower payment do to income

and OP they can play with numbers and get you to the same monthly payments but they will have to play with percentages and term length..so if you are on a 5 year right now after trade and incentives and interest rate they could get you to the same $/mo but it may be a longer term like 6 or 7 years...not worth it unless there is something wrong with your car like someone said...and you shouldn't tell them your car is modded you would wanna take all that stuff off before trading the car in...part out or install on new ride but never take to dealer

Is there really anything wrong with your '11? If your happy with your car now, I say dont do it. I cant see the dealership working out those kind of numbers to get one customer a used evo modded and another evo for the same price as a '11. Unless you want the '13, you might have to take a small loss to get the '13 and with no mods.

The same thing happend to me. They contacted me on my SSS Gsr. They said they would get me in the 2013, with the same payments. My car only has 5k miles and just a intercooler, and exhuast. When I arrived at the dealer they said they would give me 24k for it. Kelly blue book on the car was still around 30k. I got them all the ay up to 28k, but by that point I was pissed off and just left the dealer. In the end it's a scam and there is nobody trying to buy your used evo, just trying to sell a new car.

I struggled to get $30k for my 2011 with 14k on it. I guess no one in GA wants a mint evoX

Depnds on the options you have on your car and how much the new ones are going for in that area. If yours is a base model for example, and the new ones can be bought for $33k, then some will probably choose to pay the $3k more for new. If yours has SS, SL, etc, and those are around $38k new, then I don't know. Maybe just no one really interested at that time. I've seen this at the dealer I traded my Evo in at. They have 5 used Evo's (including mine) and have not sold them in the last 3 weeks. Mean while, they have sold 8 new Evo's.

Something also to consider is it is usually easier to get a new car loan over a used car loan. And generally you get a better rate for a new car loan over the used car loan. So although you may save a few thousand buying used, sometimes you will make up that difference by buying new with a lower interest rate. There's just to many factors to say for sure.

To the OP, like others have said the letter or phone call is just a scam to get you into a new car. But if the numbers look good, and you want a newer one or want one with different options etc, then give it a thought. If you are happy with your current Evo, then don't waste your time.
