What kind of intake does it have and how high does the idle actually go when it goes up?

Check your relays. I had to replace mine cause it had irratic idle. SSP sales a relay package. Look it up.

My stock 2013 does the same thing. It jumps from 750 to 1k rpms then go back down once in a while when the AC is on.

If your intake has the heat shield then that's normal. When the A/C kicks in the RPM's jump around a bit. I notice it happens when the Fans kick in.

K&N intake usually comes with a heat shield unless he bought it used. Or he might be using the drop in filter.

Anyone know if this issue is lessened with either the AMS or ETS intake? Or does it become exaggerated over stock?

My IX does this as well. When the RPM's get low enough the oil sensor flashed on.
