I can agree with what you said. And yeah i did start getting defensive but im sure you can see why. But if you go back some pages i do post information from outside sources, these arent just random things i made up. I get you guys think im new just because i have a 2013 evo but that doesnt mean im new to cars. But yeah basically weve been over what the facts are, and ive learned a lot from this thread myself, i didnt even buy a bov until after talking with other users in this thread. Thanks for the help also and Kracka is still cool in my book, gotta respect teh mods.

Glad we're all squared away

Same here, I bought mine for more pressure holding ability since my stocker was leaking. I've crushed plenty of BOV's over the years but it generally had a negative impact on drivability which is why I wanted to take the proper route this time and get one actually designed from the get-go to hold the pressure.

COBB XLE BPV - I currently run it to 28 psig daily and it's been great for my DD street setup. It releases very quickly and drives nicely.

Picked this one for a few reasons:
1. They're local to me.
2. It's a simple design that's easy to disassemble, clean, lubricate, and reassemble.
3. It's been proven to work on numerous setups.

I was between this and the Synapse DV, but when it came down to it the Synapse has too many leak points and it's way over-complicated for such a simple task.

Take it you arent a fan of the turbosmart then haha honestly i want to log some part throttle stuff and see how rich it runs. I havent adjusted the spring pressure yet and it flutters when rolling off the throttle slowly. All you do is turn the top of the bov. What do your recommend

My OEM held like that uncrushed.
I have the Synapse, but I don't love it.

Well, first I would put it to full recirculation mode (the Cobb can go 50/50 too, but no point). Turbosmart makes a quality product; sounds like you need to loosen up the adjustment spring slightly. Also be sure to clean & lubricate it at least annually to ensure the piston doesn't bind or gall the cylinder.

I have not been impressed with the ones I've installed and subsequently had to "tune" for people. Push style, pull style, port A, port B...screw that, just give me one that works straight out of the box.

I see. Full recirc mode is just screwing that adapter in right? And how loose do i make it, as in what signs should i look for that would let me know its properly adjusted? Honestly i just threw it on there and didnt touch it until i got more direction

Do that and I'll get them to throw in a T-shirt so you can wear it to all the events

I'm stock snail, I want to bo back to stock DV. I'm Pull A with the Aby spring to make it happiest. But I think these are all a big bother if you're not running big boy boost on an aftermarket snail.

That is why I bought it, big boy boost and big snail

But I am downgrading my setup to something more reasonable. 2150cc injectors and 775whp is fun but I want the snappiness back.

No reason any more for the giant *** synapse.

Yup, screw the plug in the vent port. I would try maybe a quarter turn at a time until the part-throttle release becomes quick and smooth. Go too loose and it could potentially open under full boost conditions. Once you get it set where you're satisfied with the drivability you could perform a boost leak test and make sure it's not opening at [your peak boost]psig.

Ok thanks. Can i use the accessport to just see if its holding boost or do i gotta do the old fashioned pressurize my intake and listen for hissing lol

Also its fine like if i do a part throttle release quickly but if i roll it off slowly it flutters like mad
