Don't worry. The steering wheel isn't centered between the OE gauges and the seat isn't directly in front of the steering wheel or between the gauges.

In other words, if you're as hung up on symmetry as I am (and, yes, I do know what Jung said that means, thanks, as I am a psychologist), the interior of the X is a nightmare.

Here is what they look like.

This is a pretty good idea. I might do this too.

Just did mine, those mounting cups are nice, why did autometer include flat head screws though? Pita screws.. Anyway heres a pic.

I'm not sure how I'm going to like it blocking so much of the tac, speedo I can see okay but I still may move them a little further apart.

I know right? The hardest part of this is screwing in the damn screws lol. Looks good man!

I started mine the same place to get an idea. I eventually moved them out because I didnt want my tach blocked.

correct! unlike in evo VII - IX, you have a lot of options where you want to mount your gauges.

Further apart definitely seems to look a lot better. Does the 3M molding tape hold well?

This isn't a bad idea. At least I can position them where I want and won't block the speedo

I dont see why not. The autometer gauge clamps are practical in their application. I dont know that it would look the best though.

take the base off the stands
take the column cover off
attach the loops through the underside of the column cover
enjoy your lowmount gauge bands
