Just call your insurance agent to inquire. No harm if you don't file a claim, besides you can always retract a claim as long as you don't cash any checks!

 

They won't just scrap the claim like it didn't happen, in that scenario. But it will list as having a $0 payout, which is as close to it not happening as you'll get after you call it in. It's not a bad thing, don't worry too much about it, unless it's your fourth or fifth claim or something like that.
