Okay I haven't driven my car in maybe a week or so... left it sitting an used my beater (gfs car while she was away on a trip Lol) while I left for work (early mornings) I noticed a hollow metal to metal tapping noise from the exhaust/turbo area. Its not a constant tapping just intermittent.. but when the car is up to normal temp its okay and don't hear the tapping at all. So I let the car sit for a day and rechecked for the tapping noise in the morning again. Pop the hood and found a slight off an on rattling noise from the exhaust area. My question is could it be the turbo? And if so any way to inspect? I only have a intake and a ams uicp. Thanks

 

Um, could it just be the heat-shields heating up? They make tapping-like noises as they change temp.
