Strange Noise

I have recently begun to hear a strange tapping noise that seems to be near the driver side windshield. It only happens on cold mornings and seems to resolve after maybe 10 miles of driving and only in the morning - my drive home is noise free. I checked the wipers to see if maybe there was a piece of plastic hitting the window and removed all of the junk (coins) from my front storage compartment. None of this has solved the problem. It is not a rhythmic noise that would make me think tire.

Has anyone experienced this?

I get the occasional windshield noise too. It might even be the glove box. You'll go insane trying to analyze every noise this car makes.

My windshield creaks as well in the cold. Just part of owning a evo. Saw one post saying they tried cloth take up there and it didn't help

Thanks

Thanks for the responses. I'll keep searching and when I find the culprit I'll post.
