Quote: 2011 MR with the following mods on 91 pump gas:

- ETS 3.5" FMIC, UICP, LICP
- AMS HFC
- Greddy SE CBE
- Cosworth drop-in intake filter (stock box)
- RRE boost pill

Going to get it tuned at RRE in couple weeks. What #s should I expect?

Quote: It has to be the SST tables because sometimes when I shift out of reverse into 1st I feel like I'm about to stall. Meh... I notice also that when doing a WOT pull with redline shifts, shifting from 3rd to 4th gear puts me at 5k rpm and I feel as if I lose acceleration because I have to shift into 5th so quickly. It should put me at 3.5k-4k so that I feel that I have enough torque to accelerate. I dunno, it just doesn't seem smooth. Something is up.
Ya, my tuner thought so, so he adjusted the table for increasing cluntch force at mid range torqe/rpm. I was plsnning to try it out this weekend at the same track, but the event got cancelled due to severe winter cold front, so i guess i just have to wait more =P

My tuner increased the clutch clamp force, but I think the issue arose from actual SST tables not being modified. My 3rd to 4th gear 7k rpm shift (redline) brings me to 5.5k rpm and slows me down.

This is my first tune with Cobb before they installed my intake and it was also with an 89/93 Octane mix. Now with the new tune and 98 Octane I'd guess Im around 400 awhp and slightly higher tq. Just hit 10k miles after my tune. An identical tune on E-85 gave 455 awhp. My mods could have given me more but I asked to keep it under 400 since I was one of the first MR's pushed that far and the clutch upgrades were still in unknown territory.

Quote: Careful with your torque levels. If you're not already aware, I keep reading that the SST gets weak past 350TQ. #IJS
When I was at Cobb getting tuned I asked about the SST upgrade. They said they upgraded an MR that was running 500 awhp on stock clutches and showed no signs of wear. Of course the way its driven and how hard it was pushed should also be put into consideration.

SST is doing dandy. Around the 30k mile mark my SST shifting was clunky in manual S-Sport. BUT that went away when I changed my tranny oil to fresh OEM SST Oil.

Since that was my first tranny oil change, I can attest to the fact that it's helpful even before the recommended 60k mile interval suggested by

As a general rule of thumb with the SST Transmission you should have changed your SST Oil on your 2nd Oil Change and continue to do so every two oil changes. Makes me SMH hearing people not taking car of these cars the right way.

Interesting... Cobb Tuning Plano has my MR there and its currently getting a built, bored, and sleeved motor; bigger cams, injectors, external fuel system, FP Red Turbo, and built SST Transmission to boot with other things to match the build as well. Guess we'll find out how much the upgraded clutches can handle. Also, Chris is running and has been running upgraded clutches in his MR for a while with no problems.
