Probably alternator whine. The cold causes more drain on your battery during start-up therefore the alternator has a higher draw on it.

If you refuse to sell the car, maybe get a louder stereo and wire it to come on before you start the engine. That might work.
first you dont know why he doesnt work there any more, second he is a co-worker and told me reguardless of the issue i still have a warranty and that they will find it, t isnt coming from my power steering pump btw its coming from my CAI and he said "its most likely a leak that you have of pressure and when its cold rubber pipes are hard creating and keeping the leak and once they heat up it expands and close, thus proving the only time i hear it is on the first start of the day, also he has more experience with cars and mostly imports than about 99% of these people on this site, so dont judge a book by its cover

Just curious,
If he has more experience with cars and mostly imports than about 99% of these people on this site, then why not go to him first?

Alright, so I teased a bit too hard. Sorry about that. But please keep in mind that the word "prove" isn't something to toss around casually and also that the title of a book is usually on the cover.

Oh, and please let go of the idea that the interior of a CAI is under pressure. That only happens when you run a certain throttle-body bought through a certain vendor and then add nitrous. tee hee

I think you need to watch and listen to your own video again. It's a mechanical whine and it's coming from the "front" of the engine. That's nowhere near the intake, but it's close to the power-steering pump, the alternator, and the oil-pump. Odds are, Kracka's guess is correct, simply because his would be one of the most educated guesses available. But you can at least test my guess (and, thereby, make me go away) in one minute: start the car and immediately steer side to side.

ill test your guess, steer side to side and what am i looking for exactly?

ok so i turned it on and as soon as i did i turned the wheel quickly in one direction and then to the other, the sound came on for a brief second and went away? this stating i have a problem with my pump? or what does this mean exactly?

Woo hoo. I win! Power steering pump whine. Absolutely nothing to worry about. Just verify the fluid and buy a louder radio.

You shouldn't have said anything. Let him listen to that mechanic he knows that knows more about cars than 99% of the people on this forum. You should have let him take his intake apart.
