Service Engine Light came on after some pulls.
To all of you who are going on about cars costing oodles of money: why aren't you telling the thread-starter to buy a $20 code reader?
Not funny at all. Simple follow-the-money logic. Find me a PROFESSIONAL (ooo, caps can be fun!) who doesn't say that you need their services more often than you really do.

If you read the post someone did tell them to get a standard reader. Also you can call any tuner and their answer will be the same even if you will have no intention of getting work done by them. Yes they are in the business of money but they are sure not going to tell someone to do something without a tune why?
Because that is not good pr. Your chances of breaking something are much higher without adjusting the ecu. Yea caps lock is fun. For THOSE who do not read threads and just post something random before reading what has been posted. The advice to this guy to not worry about it is unreal. Guess because it is not your car like one of the other members commented.
Also there are several tuners who have worked on my cars who I asked to install more things and I was told no it is not needed. So yes there are people who will not waste your money or time with useless thing's. To say that there are not or to find you one is an insult to those who do work hard on peoples cars and look out for them
You obviously don't have experience tuning, so how is it you feel comfortable representing all "professional tuners"?
I've tuned across many platforms and software, and have had direct experience with how vehicles react with bolt-on's, boost changes, elevation changes, etc. That's what I'm basing my "unreal" opinion on. What about you?

That would be an excellent point ... if it weren't the case that you were telling the person who suggested getting a cheap code-reader to read the thread and see that someone had already suggested getting a cheap code-reader.
okay so the X (as most of you know) runs extremely rich on the stock tune, throwing a test pipe and cbe wont hurt much since all the "flow" has left the engine already, yeah your "service engine" light will come on because of no O2 sensor but besides that nothing critical can happen as far as im concerned.
