There is no specific thread on the differences and what changed throughout 08-14 of the EVO X. So i figure I might as well make a thread about it. Very few people know all the updates and changes between the 08-14 years.

So if there are any evo geniuses here that care to chime in on what the differences from exterior, interior, engine, AWD system, fluids, down to the core of things between every year of the EVO X. 08-14

2010s got the color LCD screen.
2011s I know for a fact have a better factory exhaust. They also have a silly little decal on the rear window that says S-AWC. the FUSE system is now standard. Better factory tune (still weak though). Better timing chain (depends on when it was made).

There's a new navigation unit for 2014 MY that costs more than ever, doesnt play dvd movies, doesnt have a hard drive built in, and is missing some features like the ability to log your maintenance records.

 

Maintenance scheduling is in the HUD on my '14 MR.

I gather from the Internet that the '14 MMCS adds live traffic, weather, and fuel prices via an included lifetime (no further fee) subscription to Nokia "HERE" network via HD Radio.

Do the earlier models have HD Radio (AM/FM sub-channels)?

It's kinda trippy on the highway when the Nav pipes up, on its own, with the gas prices at the next service area.
(Maybe next year they'll think to not display those when you already have a full tank. )

I gather most of the Nav units could play music from SD flash. (The main thing I wanted from it).
(I hated having the CD wallet take up the door storage on the VIII.)

It also has a three month subscription to Sirius, but I've had Sirius on my Dish TV for years and never used it.
