General Options Questions

Hi,

Looking to replace my 2006 RS that a sold many moons ago. Came across a 2011 GSR, but I had a few questions regarding the option packages.

Head unit is the NAV and has the Rockford Fosgate name/logo above it, but I didn't seem to notice the sub in the trunk. Do all the NAV equiped GSRs come with the RF stereo? Maybe the previous owner removed the sub? BTW, the headlights are non-HID - just standard incandesent.

Just trying to confirm that the stereo is infact the RF.

Thanks!

What that means is that your nav unit, although it may be OEM, was not installed at the port. In other words, it was installed at a dealer after the car was shipped from Japan. When you do that the trim surrounding the nav unit is ordered you don't really get a choice whether or not it says RockfordFosgate.

So it sounds like just the regular stereo. What would be an easy way to confirm this?

The tweeters in the doors, near the side mirrors, are the black or are they surrounded by a gray-ish plastic?

Previous owner probably bought a Nav unit via private party. If it doesn't have the sub and doesn't have the silver tweeters like Trogdor suggests, it's probably just the base system with an aftermarket OEM GPS unit.
