Short Shifter

I was looking at buying the TWM short throw shifter, but I wasn't sure if I need the full replacement or just the throw shifter? Also should I get the base bushings, cable bushings and/or the transmission arm bushings? Any suggestions?

I currently have the stock throw shifter, if that matters.

Thanks

You are gonna get many opinions about this topic...if you search about it there are tons of threads....I ended up going with the Works one and kept all the bushings OEM but got a 1.1lb shift knob...no notchiness and the throws are way shorter than before....TWM makes good stuff too though I almost went with their shifter...to answer your question though all you NEED is the shifter if that's all you want...most people would recommend you get the Kracka shifter kit from MAPerformance.com....

The Kracka shift kit makes the X shifting a much more pleasant experience. I have something similar to it, I use a few different brand bushings, although I have about all the parts in the kit. Any of the short shifters should work, I use Works as well and love it!

I have TWM and love it. I kept all OEM bushings and its really nice and firm. TWM , Works, or Kracka they are all good. The OEM shifter feels like play doe haah

I bought all those components. Mine is still kind of knotchy. It is much better than the stock set up but if I had to do it again, I would just change out the shifter and fluid and buy a weighted knob.
