AEM failsafe wideband

Anybody have any experience with this gauge?

I'm looking to get a boost and wideband gauge and I keep getting drawn to it as it would mean that I only had to mount one gauge in my car which is a plus.

I've searched for reviews but couldn't find anything.

Please move if needed.

I have one.

I have yet to wire up the failsafe functionality, but I have been using it to monitor AFR and Boost.

Works well, and looks pretty good. I would recommend it if you are looking to have a 2 for one gauge.

Forgot about this thread.

Thanks for the input guys.

The two in one perfect for me.

I'm surprised this isn't more popular.

Gonna order one in a couple weeks (still saving)

for my 08, mount a little toward the right side, it doesn't block the MPH gauge. I mounted it more straight, blocked my 0-40mph a little. But it's really not that useful to me anyways

you link it to a PC. change the display along with the faceplates given. My center digital shows boost and the bar shows AFR.

How was the wiring setup with that? Was it challenging or can it be done by someone with no electrical expertise but can read instructions?

I am no electrical expertise and it was confusing as hell.. would not recommend it.

well.. I couldn't really find instructions for the Evo.. the general instruction provided by AEM wasn't that helpful to me.

I didn't install it, but I have one and like the idea of it triggering an instant switch to a safer map in 250ms vs. counting on me to monitor, and the harder I push it the more I like looking at the road vs. watching numbers change on gauges. The main number display is clean but the only thing I don't like is the constantly flashing outer ring of multicolored lights that can be set to show boost or AFRs. It reminds me of the lightshows on old boomboxes in stores in the 90's - BUY ME! LOOK AT ME! (I need to get around to disabling it)
