Hello all. I just installed a ets hiflow cat and ets v2 catback on my 2014 GSR. The system sounded great on utube. Its way to loud for me. Inside the cab is really loud. My question is if I put the stock cat back on will it quiet down some? Plus I ordered the ets v2 quiet rear section to quiet it down more. Will probably sell the hiflow cat and v2 rear section for a cheap price. Any input is appreciated. Thanks

Keep the high flow cat on there and swap out the V2 for the V2 quiet. A high flow cat isn't going to make a huge difference in sound plus you'll still benefit from the added power. I can't believe you think the V2 is loud though It's a good thing you didn't get the V2 Extreme.

My advice?

Just drive with it for a few days, like a week, then decide. Most times you start hearing something it is so different than you are used to, it can be jarring. I'd give it a bit of time, break in the exhaust, then decide.

My .02 cents

The v2 is known to be a loud exhaust system. Youtube and real life is always different because when you record it the camera will adjust the sound. I think the quiet rear section is your best bet but keep the hiflow cat. ORR drive it for a bit and see how you like it. I actually turn the radio down sometimes and roll down the window so I can hear all the different noises my car makes (:

That is a loud setup to begin with, but I agree I'd wait a little bit. (watched videos when I first picked up my 14 GSR as well)

V2 does have a quiet version as well which is mentioned above.

My exhaust was a bit loud for me as well so I put the stock cat back on and it helped a little bit at highway speeds

That sounds great and not too loud. If that's the same setup as the OP, is he having a case of the crazies? Sounds great, I stick with my previous recommendation.

i recently purchased the ETS Extreme and i personally like it yea it is a bit loud inside the car but only at certain RPM.. i wanted the V2 but thought it was gonna be quiet for me lol .. but yea like anything else just give it a shot drive around with it for couple days/weeks and see if it grows into you if not them I'm sure theres plenty of people here that will want that rear section off you
