i'm guessing i'm not going to buy the car but from what he said the car had 50k of parts + labor not sure.

Right now i'm looking at a base 2013 MR with 27k miles for $29,997 +tax and fees at Route 46 Mitsubishi does it sound like a fair price?

So far the search has not been fun all the evo's are out of state, ideas?

It will need the things replaced that wear out the same as any other car. It is much more than a "track car. It is totally drivable and docile on the street, because it was put together by professionals with no expense spared using all the right parts, not some back yard mechanic that couldn't afford to do it right and cut corners. On a car like this, the labor is generally about equal to the parts. The original owner bought it new and put close to $100,000 more into it.

What do you guys think about the car as a DD in upstate NY, it has never seen a winter and i would get the bottom coated completely. I'm just worried about reliability long term...It seems like a hell of a deal the guy is offering me hes only selling it because he's buying realestate from what he has told me.

He's asking 22k + Shipping fees....should i do it?

$100k? I would ask him how that equals up to $100k, you need to verify such an extreme claim like that lol.
Just give it a test drive and go from there.

^ my exact thoughts, even with the price of the car I can't see this being anywhere near 100k

03 VIII: 15-20k
Body pieces: 3-4k
Interior: 3k
Suspension: 4-5k
Engine: 15-20k
Drivetrain: 5k
Wheels w/ tires: 1500sh (MB weapons are cheap)
Electronics: 2-3k
Brake System: 2-3k

Total is around 65k including the car and that's me assuming a shop did all the work. Most likely between 40-50k into the car (off the top of my head). Not saying it's not a solid build or a good deal for 22k, just saying it's most def not 100k INTO the car. Also if you DO go with this, change the wheels for enkeis at least, I'll never understand how people put 20k into a motor and won't drop 1200 on a decent set of rims. You don't need RAYS or SSRs, you can get some 5zigen Fn01rcs or Enkei Nt03/RPF1s for under 1500, if you go used (check condition) you can get them with decent tires too.

I bought mine on October of last year from Carmax 2010 mr touring with 27k miles for 30 grand. The prices sound reasonable you might be able to negotiate even lower.

Yea i'm not a fan of cheap rims on expensive setups either.

i found it odd that he got 250$ rims for a 50k+ car he is claiming i'm not going for that car but he re-posted it on ebay if you want to take a look.

I'm trying to find an X that is in NYS i don't want to go through the extra hassle for out of state.
