Really?

[shakes head ruefully] of all the responses (including "move to LA")... no one says 'get the code read and tell us what it is?'...

The tire install and the code may be totally unrelated. How low on tread are the other three? Almost bald 'might' trigger a differential signal in the ECU (and then you would be doing all four anyway). So if the other three are not bald - the difference between 85% and 100% tread life is minimal. The algorithm trigger to detect and prevent a differential abnormal wear or damage is set waaayy higher than that. Think about how often people on the forum actually report this code just for tire wear and the new set of tires cleared the code...

As soon as you left the shop and the car is pulling to one side - return it. Have them check tire pressure. Tell the shop about the code.

If I am way off-base - I apologize.

Looks like your AYC pump is failing.

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/09...161e-code.html

I'd get it to the dealership...

My ABS and ASC service required lights have been coming on and after after driving for a while the 4WD service required light comes goes away after stopping and restarting engine. Just replaced mt tires last week and will be changing out wheel speed sensors once they come in.

Its in better condition that the rest of my tires.

As soon as i put it on I could feel the car pulling towards the left when hitting the gas a little harder than usual. A couple days later the 4wd sys service required light pops up.

Have any of you guys gone through this?
Would it go away after an alignment?

trying to avoid the dealership after being ripped off so many times

thanks in advance!
I have the same light on , it came after I installed new wheels , the stealership is saying I can't have aftermarket wheels on my car coz they are wider ?????? That is 100% false. Think about it, the width of the tire has no bearing on the circumference. No matter how wide you make the tires they still rotate at the same rate. On top of that you can run slightly taller or shorter tires than stock as long as they all match. I have run 205/65-15, 225/45-18, 245/40-18, 255/35-18, 265/35-18, and 275/35-18. Those vary from 25.0 inches tall to 26.0 inches tall with 25.6 inches being stock. I have no idea what the dealership is talking about. They likely have no idea what they are talking about either.

When my "service awd" light came on it was because the pump had corroded and needed replaced. I replaced it with a new unit and bled the pump and the light went away and SH-AWC worked again. Hasn't happened again since. The original pump only lasted two salty winters.
