Possibly blown turbo? Please help.

So I own a ralliart, with an evo x turbo swap and had it professionally tuned.
Over the last couple days my exhaust didn't really sound quite right, but it was really subtle and the car ran fine.
But tonight I went to the store and the car sounded funny like it had an exhaust leak. A decent sized one, like if a flex pipe were to go.
I drove it around the block and it wouldn't even hit boost, (not that I was flooring it, just enough to make sure it was only exhaust related, tried for 2-3psi) it reved alot quicker, for some reason, wouldn't boost, and backfired a bunch when the revs went down. I parked it and I'm basically freaking out. I would really appreciate if anyone can help with any insight of any idea of what it may be please. Thank you

Start small, then worry about big. When it is light outside, go over all your tubes, intake, etc.. Make sure nothing came loose. Since you swapped out the turbo, it'd be a good place to start working your way from the turbo forward and see if there is a hose or something that is disconnected, torn, or just not properly sealed and tight.

Relax till you have to freak out.

It sounds like a cracked manifold or just a really leaky manifold cause not much pressure comes out of my exhaust at idle. Would that cause the car to not build pressure on the hot side and not spool?

Try doing a Seafoam[tm] cleaning of the intake system - the smoke will help you quickly identify the hole/crack/failure.

it's just a big *** exhaust leak, probably at the downpipe (especially if you see a gap)

if the downpipe comes loose, it will be extremely loud, smell terrible, not build any boost (since its exiting the exhaust not the turbo), run like crap. If all the work was just done, somebody might have forgotten to tighten a bolt.

if the turbo blew, you'd have oil everywhere and smoke like a crop duster. Just crawl under the car (after its cooled) and you will probably see a big air gap where a bolt backed out.

^I agree with everything but...

Why would it not build boost if the downpipe was disconnected? The down pipe is after the turbo outlet - if anything it would spool easier (less back pressure).

Now if the exhaust manifold or boost control valve had a major failure - then all of the above is true including would not build boost...

Am I wrong?
Thanks!

a turbo needs some back pressure to spool at all

I took your guys advice, I really appreciate all the help.
Turns out my exhaust Manifold somehow was loose to a point where you can hand pull the bolts out. The gasket was hanging from one 1 bolt somehow... We made sure the manifold was tight when we last had it off, so It's beyond me why it was so loose. Car runs fine now
