I assume most people on here, including myself, cant afford or dont want to spend 100k on cars like a gtr, which is why the evo is great. but its meant to be driven.

but hey, its your money, your time, so get whatever makes you happy and not worry what evom thinks?
You make valid points, but I will say after driving another car for a week or two and getting back into the Evo, it feels *so* much more special and "precious" compared to driving it daily.

Not to say it isn't fun every single day it's driven, but you get used to the handling and power and it isn't as "wowing" as it used to be. Yet after letting it sit in the garage for awhile and hopping in, the senses are all going crazy.... smells different, surfaces feel different, clutch pedal always feels stiffer than I remembered, then you rediscover that touchy and ultra-responsive gas pedal.

Having daily driven a Mustang Cobra and then my Evo IX for years and years, I'm enjoying my time with the X at a slower yet more rewarding pace. I also now love having lower mileage and keeping it closer to "new". It's now a special event every time I take it out. Much better smiles per gallon

To each their own though, this is just how I feel

I say DD the car unless the savings of a beater are cheaper than the wear and tear of your Evo. I couldn't imagine a 50 mile daily commute in my evo.
