Stock cat to ets 3 in catback leak question!?
Hey guys i had a quick question, when i mated my ets 3 in midpipe to the stock cat with the ets adapter and gaskets on both sides of the adapter, water dripped from the connection from initial start up but slowly went away. I tried to look for leaks but didnt really hear or feel anything coming from the connection. I was wondering, if the water dripped from that connection does that mean there is a leak and i need to fix it or does the gaskets still have to seal or break in? Please let me know. Thanks guys
Let the car warm up for a few. Place a lil soapy water on the flanges. If it starts to bubble you have a leak. If not you are good. Usually the gaskets need to heat up and expand a little upon install but should be good once they heat up.
Did this fix your issue?
I wanted to stop by and make sure you used both gaskets, one on each side of the adapter plate.
Should go: Catback -> 3" Gasket -> ETS Adapter Plate -> Factory Gasket -> Cat
Thanks!
Michael
