But honestly I know this person is extremely young, mostly by their writing style so I'm going to give him a pass. I'm sure it was just a moment of desperation and a problem seemingly being bigger than it actually was.

OP as mentioned there are many good routes to go and avoid paying the dealer anything, I'm sure you will find something that works.

There is more to the story here.

Why are you getting transmission alerts? Have you modified the car?

As for curb rashing your wheels, that's kind of on you and should be expected to be replaced if you damaged them? That's the purpose of a lease, so they can get the car back in 'new' condition when you are done driving it.

Not trying to be a dick, just saying...

But if you are getting errors on your transmission, unless you tuned your leased car, that should be no sweat and a simple matter of dropping it off at Mitsubishi.
