Tire and wheel size to best fit

What is the best tire and wheel size (including offset) to fill up the wheel well on a Evo X? The look I am going for is almost flush with the fenders. I do not want any tire rub. Realizing of course that the profile of the tire is a variable. I don't want to go so low as to destroy my 54 year old back. I want it to look proportionably correct, again realizing that individual preferences will apply here. Maybe photos will help.

I used to run 18x9+26 with a 255 tire and it was pretty close to flush with 0 chance of rub.

From what I understand absolute flush without rub is a 18x9.5+22 witha 265, I went with that on a set of advan ad08's and my rears rubbed. So it depends on the tire at the size I guess.

So that being said I would do something a bit less aggressive than 18x9.5+22 with a 265.

For comfy settings, just keep it 18's and 40 series tire and you should be ok.

I'd recommend 18x9 + 25/26 with a nice 245/40/18 or 255/40/18 setup.

Some others here with more experience in aggressive setups should chime in here.

18x9.5 + 22 on 265/35/18 tires

You will most likely need to fender roll the rear

that depends on the drop. I roll that setup and I did not have to roll my fenders.
