I DD mine with an MHI 18k on e85 making 450 whp and its fantastic. The car drives the same as when I was on pump gas stock turbo making 340 hp just a whole lot faster. Its ALL in the tune. I take care of my maintenance and pop my hood once a week to make sure everything is copacetic. I also run a wideband on my steering column and watch it closer than any other gauge.

My car is not beyond the threshold of full blown race car. I run the comp stage 2 street disc clutch which is full face and feels almost identical to stock engagement. You can run an fp green/mhi/bbk lite turbo on a simple 320lph/1000cc fuel setup and make 450 whp reliably all day long.

93 oct, Stock Turbo 365/375 Tuned from Orlando DD 30miles a day. I don't do WOT all the time prolly twice a week. They said tune your car to get a good gas mileage, I ended up filing up every week. 25$ won't hurt every week if your driving an evo!!

Mods are: UICP,Intake,TP,Catback,fuel Pump,3port.

91 oct, 350hp 367tq. Stock turbo, GS EBS, AEM intake, Tanabe DP, testpipe, Medallion CBE (crazy quiet). DD the car between 30 and 100 miles a day, WOT kinda whenever the mood strikes. Awesome and smooth for DD.

I used to daily my evo with 400+ whp but not anymore.
The coilovers were too hard to be daily driven for me, power was fine.

I'm thinking about buying a 2014 EVO X gsr but I've read a lot of forums where they had problems coming off the lot or under 10K miles and that's keeping it stock such as the clutch, CMS, relays. After reading this thread and seeing all the mods and reading little to no problems, could the problems I've read be from early EVO X's or have the problems been fixed in the later year EVOs.
This will be the first EVO I own it will be my DD, I will be babying it for a while just so I get used to it, the fluid maintenance changes and upkeep, I will mod eventually but not so much as owning an EVO is new to me.

Same mods as me, and I feel it is more reliable than stock! I am tuned to 27 PSI for 24,000 kms now. IMO the tuner plays the biggest part.
I was tuned by Golden EVO (michael golden). Great experience.

Long as your tune is proper and you stay up on upkeep, you're golden.
