Im not too fond of the prices which is why I kind of want to do it myself with ECU flash and I have common mods so it wouldn't be hard to get an e tune but...Ugh which would you suggest?
Step 1 - get an A/F gauge as this is critical for tuning

Then you need to choose the hardware to flash your car. Your hardware choices are
cobb accessport (accesstuner race software) or openport 2.0 (using ecuflash)

Then you can get your beast tuned to make sure everything is healthy. I would suggest getting it professionally done (either cobb or openport) unless you can afford a blown engine as you learn to do it yourself. e-Tuning is also a cheaper option and you and there are a few reputable tuners on these forums you can use

I would not be attempting to tune the car myself. It takes extenssive knowledge. You dont need a blown engine. Get a professional, EVO professional I should add, and have them work their magic!

Sorry but time on a dyno with the skilled tuner AT THE WHEEL in a controlled environment is better than an E-Tune anyday. Sorry, but unless I was like in the middle of Alaska and just had to get a tune, I'd drive far to get a proper one done. My 08 STi I drove 500 miles to get tuned and it was totally worth it.
