Has anyone thrown it down with the amg or Bmw M cars? I think with full boltons and e85, the evo's can take em both right ? Assuming those cars are stock of course

 

This is a loaded question.

I've owned two AMG Mercedes cars (C55, E55) and 2 different model M3's (both 6 speed), and compared to the Evo the cars could not be more different.

The more comparable to the evo would be the M3, straight line power and luxury would be the AMG's to keep it short.

 

I got walked by a 08 M3 sedan when I was stock (other than my CBE). I would say with bolt ons and e85 it would be a fairly close pull. Never had a run in with any AMG cars, although I did a couple runs at MIR against a 335i with intake, meth and a JB4 and they were some pretty close runs.

 

My wifes bone stock 2002 SLK32 AMG walks my stock 2014 EVO MR.

Then again, it is 3200 lbs with 350hp/tq and has a V6 with a supercharger so um...yeah.

 

I have tried that and I can tell you that it's extremely dangerous to run two cars this fast against each other. Yes, an Evo with full bolt-ons, E85, and a tune should be able to take on an M3 or a C63, but you also need good tires and a good launch. One way or another, make sure your skills are honed and you try it at a race track.

 

bolt-on tuned evos are very quick cars. The problem is you are comparing it to cars that cost more than double the price and the HP indicates that. It is more fun to compare bolt-on vs bolt-on against similar range cars. I had an interesting affair last night against a 98 turboed m3

What a coincidence, I walked an e92 m3. The 4.0 V8 model. I was on my e85 tune.

 

Thats a way more impressive "kill" lol.
